EMT Refresher Course

We offer a 24 hour based class for Basics, 36 hour based class for Intermediates and 48 hour based class for Paramedics.  This meets the requirements of the Southern Nevada Health District and fulfills requirements for the Mandatory Core Content and Flexible Core Content for NREMT Re-Registration.  (The remaining hours of your 72 hour requirement for NREMT are obtained through ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, PALS, online hours, etc.)

ACLS - Advanced Care Life Support

This intensive course is a must for all advanced level providers practicing pre-hospital care, nursing, and at the physician level.  MWA-HSC offers both Recertification and Initial Classes.  For recertification applicant must provide proof of current ACLS card.

An AHA book and completion of Pretest is required for both classes.  Books are an additional $35.00 if you purchase them through MedicWest Ambulance.

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support

PHTLS - Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support

Recognized worldwide as the trauma course of choice for pre-hospital care and CCT nursing providers.  This is a National Association of EMT's and NREMT sanctioned course and is recognized nationwide for CME Credit.  This will expand your knowledge in current trauma care and issues dealing with trauma.

AMLS - Advanced Medical Life Support

AMLS emphasizes using the scene size-up, history and physical exam to systematically rule-out and rule-in possibilities of medical problems.  Course participants include all providers practicing pre-hospital care, nursing and physicians.
